JMS Services Ltd (JMS) was originally founded as a family company in 1993 in New Zealand to provide Construction Management & Inspection Services to major global Energy companies in NZ, Australia, and Asia. The Canadian company was established in 1998 in Calgary, Alberta.

Since that time JMS have worked extensively on major Oil and Gas projects in both Canada and overseas.

about usThe principle, Shane Megoran has 35 + years experience providing Construction Management, Client Representation, and Advisor services for onshore pipelines, onshore facilities, offshore pipelines, and subsea facilities. Extensive experience representing both clients and working for the prime contractor which enables him to maintain a very balanced and realistic perspective on the work scopes, project commitments and schedules.

The JMS team is made up of construction management personnel and qualified multi disciplined Inspectors who have extensive experience on large diameter cross country pipelines. Solid subsurface experience, including over 100 plus HDDs, Direct Pipe crossings, drill & blast tunnels, jacked tunnels, pressurized tunnels, segmental tunnels, shaft construction, bores and tracked bores. Multiple complex river crossings using open cut, aerial, super flume, Isolation methods. Solid Steep slope and mountain pipeline experience using cable cranes and tethered methods. Additional offshore pipeline subsea experience using S and J lay methods.

The JMS team have formed an integral part of many successful project teams that have managed construction projects up to $1.3bil value. Given our extensive international experience we are very comfortable working with multi cultural teams in Joint Venture situations.

In addition to Construction management and Inspection services detailed above JMS has two other business lines:

In 2010 JMS started to provide Frac Out and spill containment Trailers to various HDD and Tunnelling contractors

In 2016 JMS Services started to provide Canadian manufactured Ultraviolet water and air filtration systems overseas and is now a recognized dealer in Canada.

Our Team

Our dedicated team at JMS Services comprises two seasoned Senior Construction Managers, five certified API 1169 Pipeline Inspectors ensuring top-notch inspection expertise, alongside five CWB Level 2 Welding Inspectors.

Additionally, three NACE Level 2 Coating Inspectors uphold our commitment to quality assurance.

With four Client-approved Hydro Test Inspectors, two specialized Trenchless/Tunnel Inspectors, and two CSWIP Level 3.1 Welding Inspectors, our team is well-equipped for comprehensive project oversight.

Further enhancing our capabilities, we have one European Welding Inspector at Level 4, three certified UAV (Drone) Operators, four proficient UTV & ATV Operators, and two skilled IRATA Rope Access Technicians at Level 1, ensuring versatility and excellence across various inspection and operational domains.
